Whenever I look at life through media projected images,I am filled with a sense of rancour and dissatisfaction.I feel as if even with the best of efforts and intentions of all those so called big charecters,who make the headlines,the world is deteriorating.Emotions are running high,but feelings are on the wane.Rhetoric is rising in pitch,but justice is being done to death.Efforts are visible but not effective.People sound concerned yet the society is becoming heartless.Everyone has an opinion yet no one ventures to put in his effort.There is an immensely capable medium to share information among all ,yet all that is shared is, just sob, suspense, sorrow, sinister & symbolic stories.
The real people,the real society and the real life seems to be forgotten in the rising heap of saleable & acceptable concoctions of facts fed incessantly by the TRP rating crazy army of MEDIA.For every million descriptions of lie,for every billion false propaganda and for every trillion nonsense that is being dished out to us in the name of NEWS,a few islands of genunity, concern & compassion surfaces once in a blue moon.Howsoever important such rare presentations of facts may be,but that's a big price to be paid for surrendering our thinking, discretion, creativity and social concern.In the name of being informed,people have become opinionated-infected by the opion of media.They have lost their originality in thought and action.They have become slaves to the agenda set by few dozen media moghuls.That is disgusting and self-debilitating phenomena for a country having more than half poulation of below thirty.And any time if that youth is remembered, that's for their sexual preferences,dress codes,movies,tattooes,right to smoke , booze & live freely with members of opposite sex.That's very unfair to them.If you see, clearly all these issues are as important to them as they can be to any other citizen of any age group.But to limit them to just those topics is quite unfair.Their existence matters for much more and positvely so!Everyone is talking about delimitaion of constituency in elections in terms of geographical area,caste or gender preference,but have you ever imagined what will happen if such demarcations are done on the basis of age group.Can you imagine what will happen if demographic constituion for younger generation is translated into legislative represention?The whole agenda of the world will change.If you see scrutinizingly,we actually are caught in hatred and revenge mostly because of the biases that we inherit thru generations.And as we grow in age,we become less capable in breaking free off these biases.So we are just becoming cannon fodder for the conflicts set upon us by elders who are unable to look beyond their skewed grooves of selfishness and biases.We youngersters are made to think and respond like them or we are trivialized.Whenever we raise our hands in favour of against any issue,we are getting used by self-serving political forces.This leaves us disgruntled and dispassionate.This brings us into a state of existence as we do today.
The rainy season is here,both meteorologically and metaphoricaly.The streets and fields are full of water.So are the ponds and reservoirs.The sky is filled with dark rainy clouds.The farmers are looking at them with hope.Lovers are looking at them with anticipation.Parents are looking at them with concern.The politicians and bussinessmen are looking at them withem with glee.Media is looking at them as saleable headlines.Human existence is too complex.Lets be watchful lest we get consumed in the greed of others.
